The Department of English Language at the Faculty of Education organised a scientific workshop entitled “Translation Skills” in Al-Kawthar Hall for Continuing Education at the University.

The workshop was delivered by Asst. Prof. Dr. Ibrahim Tal’at Ibrahim, Secretary of the Faculty of Arts at Al-Iraqia University, and moderated by Asst. Lect. Safa' Abd Al-Rasoul Al-S'adi. It provided an important overview of translation and its types, the key methods of translating texts, and the requirements for translators. The workshop also focused on simultaneous interpreting and ways of avoiding the challenges encountered by translators.

It is worth mentioning that the workshop was attended by a notable number of academic staff from the department, alongside interactive and explanatory contributions concerning translation and its skills.
