Prof. Dr. Nazir Najm Abdullah, Director of Al-Zahraa Centre for Medical and Pharmaceutical Sciences Research, has published a scientific paper in Scientific Reports, a Q1-ranked journal published by the international publishing house Nature. Additionally, the said event comes as part and parcel of the scholarly research and high-quality scientific publishing activities of the teaching staff and research centre directors at Al-Zahraa University for Women. 

Furthermore, the study aimed to address the environmental remediation of cadmium, a highly toxic heavy metal, at a wastewater treatment plant.

It is worth noting that the University seeks to promote research activity through the participation of its academic staff in academic forums at both local and international levels. The University also works to facilitate the publication of scientific research in reputable international journals, including the Al-Zahraa Journal of Health and Medical Sciences (ZJHMS).
