Pharmacy Faculty at Al-Zahraa University for Women achieved a remarkable academic milestone by securing first place in the 2023-2024 assessment exams, conducted under the supervision of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research. That prestigious recognition came as a reward for the efforts deployed by both the students and teaching staff whose arduous endeavors for the attainment of academic excellence. To celebrate that formidable success, the Faculty organized a ceremony to honor its distinguished staff members and top-performing students. In her speech, Prof. Dr. Zainab Al-Mulla Al-Sultani, President of Al-Zahraa University for Women, commended the collective efforts exerted to elevate the standing of the University as a leading educational institution for women. She emphasized also the University’s commitment to excellence across all faculties and departments. Moreover, Prof. Dr. Noor Hatif Al-Dabbagh, Dean of the Pharmacy Faculty, praised the exceptional deligence of students and Faculty, highlighting their role in fostering a culture of excellence and innovation that strengthened the stature of the University as a premier academic institution. The festival featured cultural and artistic performances, along with the presentation of certificates and honorary awards to distinguished students and faculty staff members. The honored students expressed their pride in the accomplishment, with emphasis on the Faculty’s encouraging environment as a key motivator for their academic success. The University’s administration affirmed that such achievement marked a significant step in its academic development strategy, thanks to plans particularly devised to boost cooperation with local and international research institutions and to further its foremost position in the pharmaceutical field. It bears noting that the annual assessment exams are considered a reliable benchmark for academic excellence among pharmacy faculties in Iraq, providing a recognized ranking system for the identification of institutions with high-quality education and an optimal learning environment for students to achieve scientific and professional success.
