Therapeutic Exercises for Lower Back Pain and Physical Well-being
Physiotherapy Department organized a specialized training workshop titled “Therapeutic Exercises for Lower Back Pain”, presented by the Head of Physiotherapy Department, Lect. Dr. Nihad Khudair Al-Tabe’i. The said event was under the aegis of Imam Hussein Holy Shrine and the supervision of Prof. Dr. Zainab Al-Mulla Al-Sultani, the University President. The three-day workshop delved into the causes and detrimental effects of lower back pain, along with an in-depth examination of the functional anatomy of the nervous and muscular systems related to this condition. Additionally, participants benefitted from practical demonstrations of therapeutic exercises, emphasizing correct performance and their role in preventing further complications. Moreover, the workshop featured hands-on training on the use of physiotherapy devices. The event concluded with preventive recommendations aimed at reducing the risk of lower back pain, highlighting the significance of regular exercises with a view to maintain spinal health and re-enforce overall physical fitness.
