As part and parcel of its commitment to strengthening academic engagement and following up on distinguished scholarly activities, Al-Zahraa University for Women took part in the 12th International Scientific Conference on the Thought of Imam Al-Hasan Al-Mujtaba (PBUH), held in the city of Hilla under the auspices of the General Secretariats of Imam Hussein and Imam Abbas Holy Shrines. The said event was organised by the Higher Committee of Hilla, the City of Imam Al-Hasan Project, in cooperation with Al-Ameed Scientific and Intellectual Association, Al-Kafeel University, Al-Ameed University, and Imam Al-Kadhim Faculty– Babylon Departments, under the motto: “Imam Al-Hasan Al-Mujtaba (PBUH): Leadership and Pioneership.”
The University attended the conference to observe its academic organisation and review the research papers presented, centering on topics of leadership, reform, and constructive dialogue. The delegation emphasised that such events represent an important component of the academic movement in Iraq, contributing to broadening intellectual horizons and enhancing scholarly cooperation among universities and scientific institutions.
During the visit, Prof. Dr. Zainab Al-Mulla Al-Sultani, President of Al-Zahraa University for Women, was honoured with a Shield of Creativity and Excellence by the organising committee in recognition of her dedicated efforts in advancing the educational process, her commitment to academic development, and her leadership in promoting a robust research environment at the University.
This participation reflects the University’s keen interest in engaging with scientific and intellectual forums that contribute to fostering a culture of rigorous research, while also reinforcing its mission to promote the thought of Ahlu al-Bayt (PBUT) as a beacon of enlightened leadership and humanistic values. It further underscores Al-Zahraa University’s dedication to instilling the principles of knowledge, reform, and tolerance within society.
