Under the auspices of the General Secretariat of Imam al-Hussein Holy Shrine and the supervision of Prof. Dr. Zainab Al-Mulla Al-Sultani, the University president, the Department of Festivals and Religious Occasions at the Holy Shrine organised a festival in honour of the blessed birth anniversary of Lady Zainab Al-Kubra (PBUH). The festival embodied the noble values of patience, courage, and devotion, serving as an opportunity to revive the radiant legacy of Lady Zainab (PBUH) and her pivotal role in preserving the message of truth and faith throughout Islamic history.
In his address, Mr. Ibrahim Al-Husseini, representative of the Religious Announcement Division at the Holy Shrine of Imam Hussein, reflected on the pivotal stature of Lady Zainab (PBUH) and her enduring influence throughout Islamic history. He further noted that her noble character stands as an exceptional example of patience, perseverance in adversity, and devotion in the service of faith and society. Additionally, Mr. Al-Husseini affirmed that Lady Zainab (PBUH) epitomised graceful endurance and resolute determination in the most trying of circumstances, emphasising her remarkable leadership following the tragedy of Karbala in preserving the message of Imam Hussein (PBUH) and conveying it to future generations. Furthermore, he concluded by stating that her life embodies a treasury of noble human virtues that everyone should seek to draw inspiration from in their daily lives.
Through this festival, the University affirms its continued support for religious and cultural activities, and its commitment to instilling spiritual and moral values in the hearts of its female students, values that strengthen the University’s educational and pedagogical mission in nurturing a generation that is aware, principled, and deeply rooted in its identity and beliefs. It bears noting that such events also reflect the University’s dedication to preserving the Islamic heritage and conveying the legacy of eminent figures to future generations, while inspiring female students to emulate the noble virtues exemplified by Lady Zainab (PBUH) throughout her blessed life.
