Education Faculty in Al-Zahraa University for Women Hold Discussion Session, English Language Department/Education Faculty welcomed a delegation from Imam Al-Sadiq University, on Tuesday 22-11-2022 on Um Abiha Hall, the delegation presented a discussion session entitled (New Trends in Translation): the delegation consisted from prominent figure in the field of translation targeting teaching staff and female students. The discussion session divided into four aspects: the first aspect presented by Dr. Maha Lafta that included the problems of ideology and the impact of translator’s ideology on the text, the second aspect presented by Dr. Mujtaba Al-Hilo included the problems of culture differences between languages and their impact on translation, the third presented by Dr. Bassim Jabir explained machine translation and the progress that the humanity had reached in the use of artificial intelligence in translating texts automatically from one language to another without any human intervention, and the final aspect presented by Dr. Zinah Al-Shammari about the most important traditional and modern methods in translation.
