The Department of Arabic Language, represented by its Head, Asst. Prof. Dr. Huda Al-Ameedi was honoured by Prof. Dr. Zainab Al-Mulla Al-Sultani, President of the University, in appreciation of the Department’s distinguished engagement with the Central Library. This recognition comes as the Department has consistently been among the most active users of its resources, both by faculty members and female students. The said event was in the presence of Prof. Dr. Iman Sameer Baheya, Dean of the Faculty of Education, and Ms. Hanan Farouq, Director of the Central Library at Al-Zahraa University for Women.
The Department’s frequent visits to the library reflect the wealth of specialised resources available across all disciplines at the University. Additionally, these resources provide faculty members with essential references for advancing their scientific research, while female students benefit from them in strengthening their academic knowledge and preparing their graduation projects.
It bears noting that the existence of such a comprehensive and well-resourced library within the University serves as a clear indicator of its academic strength and its unwavering commitment to supporting all forms of scientific and intellectual development.

Department of Special Education Holds Scientific Workshop on Modern Strategies for Addressing Speech Disorders Under the patronage of the President of Al-Zahraa University (PBUH) for Women, Prof. Dr. Zainab Al-Sultani, and the supervision of the Dean of the College of Education, Prof. Dr. Iman Samir Bahiyya, the Department of Special Education at the College of Education, in cooperation with the Continuing Education Center, organized a scientific workshop entitled “Modern Strategies for Dealing with Speech Disorders.” The workshop was attended by a number of faculty members and specialists in the field. The workshop was delivered by Dr. Ya‘mur Rahim Hussein, General Supervisor of Al-Kafeel Institute for Speech and Language Disorders, which is affiliated with the Al-Abbas Holy Shrine. The lecture addressed the latest scientific and practical approaches to diagnosing speech and language disorders and methods of dealing with them, along with presenting training models and therapeutic mechanisms that contribute to developing the skills of specialists and practitioners in this area. The workshop aimed to enhance scientific awareness of speech disorders and to equip educational staff with modern strategies that support students and improve their ability to communicate effectively. It also sought to strengthen cooperation between academic institutions and specialized centers in ways that serve the educational and rehabilitative process.
