Under the auspices of the General Secretariat of the Holy Husayni Shrine, Al-Zahraa University for Women hosted the women’s activities of the Fourth International Kawthar Al-Ismah Cultural Festival, in a spiritual atmosphere marking the birth anniversary of The Lady of the worlds, Fatima Al-Zahraa (peace be upon her).

The ceremony witnessed wide official and academic attendance, headed by the President of the University, Prof. Dr. Zainab Al-Sultani, alongside female leaders from the Holy Husayni Shrine, academic figures, and representatives of several academic and religious institutions, lending the event a distinguished scholarly and humanitarian character. The program included a blessed recitation from the Holy Qur’an and the screening of an introductory film highlighting the institutions of the Holy Husayni Shrine and its women’s formations.

In her welcoming address, the President of the University expressed the university’s pride in hosting a festival bearing the name of Lady Fatima Al-Zahraa (peace be upon her), stressing the importance of strengthening women’s awareness and reviving her noble biography and values. She also highlighted the symbolic significance of holding the event in the Umm Abiha Hall, calling for continued support of initiatives that enhance women’s presence and role in society.

For his part, His Eminence Sheikh Ahmed Al-Safi emphasized that Lady Fatima Al-Zahraa (peace be upon her) represents a comprehensive model of awareness and spiritual values, noting that drawing inspiration from her life strengthens the role of women in society and contributes to building a conscious personality and advancing the cultural and intellectual landscape. He also underscored the special attention given by the holy shrines to such activities as part and parcel of their religious and social responsibility.

The Kawthar Al-Ismah International Cultural Festival continues to consolidate its position as a leading intellectual platform dedicated to reviving the legacy of Lady Fatima Al-Zahraa (peace be upon her) in its spiritual, scholarly, and social dimensions, and highlighting her exalted values as a model for ethical and humanitarian awareness. The festival also seeks to empower women and showcase their active role across fields of knowledge through programs and activities that nurture intellectual capacities and creative talents, within a comprehensive vision adopted by the Holy Husayni Shrine to elevate the humanitarian and intellectual reality of society.
