Victory Day… a nation’s memory and the voice of a fatwa that restored Iraq to its glory
#Media_Statement:
On the anniversary of Iraqi Victory Day, the College of Engineering and Information Technology proudly recalls the day when Iraqis united—people, army, and Popular Mobilization Forces—as the national flag was raised through the blood of martyrs and the sacrifices of heroes who defended Iraq.
This victory was the result of the fatwa of jihad al-kifa’i issued by the Supreme Religious Authority, His Eminence Sayyid Ali al-Sistani, through his representative in the holy shrine of Imam Hussein Shrine, Sheikh Abdul Mahdi al-Karbalaei. It was a call that mobilized determination, from which the Popular Mobilization Forces emerged, and through which an epic of resilience was forged—one that preserved Iraq’s unity and dignity.
On this enduring occasion, the College, represented by its Dean, Professor Dr. Ghaidaa Al-Mulla, along with its academic and administrative staff, extends its highest congratulations, reaffirming its commitment to the role of science and knowledge in building Iraq and instilling the values of sacrifice and belonging in its students, so that victory and reconstruction remain the path of this dear nation.
