Dean of the College of Engineering, Its Staff, and Students Congratulate the President of Al-Zahraa University for Women on Representing Iraq at the 9th Ministerial Conference of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation on Women

The Dean of the College of Engineering and Information Technology, Prof. Dr. Ghaidaa Al-Mulla, together with the academic and administrative staff, employees, and students of the college, extend their sincerest congratulations and best wishes to the President of Al-Zahraa University for Women, Prof. Dr. Zainab Al-Sultani, on the occasion of representing the Republic of Iraq at the 9th Ministerial Conference of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) on Women, held in Islamabad, Pakistan, following her nomination by the General Secretariat of the Iraqi Council of Ministers / National Directorate for Iraqi Women.

This achievement reflects the distinguished academic and international presence of Al-Zahraa University for Women. Dr. Al-Sultani participated alongside representatives from 57 member states of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation in a high-level conference that discussed mechanisms for the social, economic, and political empowerment of women and explored future avenues of cooperation among Islamic countries in this field.

The Iraqi delegation presented several notable academic proposals, including the establishment of an academic network linking Islamic and Arab universities, the activation of a “Visiting Professor” program, and the launch of specialized programs aimed at empowering women academically and socially. These initiatives are expected to enhance the exchange of expertise and foster sustainable academic partnerships among higher education institutions.

This honorable representation embodies the distinguished academic standing achieved by Al-Zahraa University for Women and reflects its vision of engaging with international experiences and strengthening its presence in global academic forums, in line with the mission of the Holy Al-Hussain Shrine in supporting education, scientific research, and women’s empowerment.
