The College of Engineering hosts the activities of the First Fatimid Cultural Week with broad academic attendance
Under the patronage of Professor Dr. Zainab Al-Sultani, President of Al-Zahraa University for Women, Al-Siddeeqa Hall at the College of Engineering and Information Technology hosted the activities of the First Fatimid Cultural Week for the universities of Karbala, with broad academic and administrative attendance and active participation from universities and educational institutions.
The events witnessed the reception of a delegation from Ahl Al-Bayt University, headed by Professor Dr. Hamid Al-Najdi, President of the University, accompanied by Mr. Sadiq Al-Qazwini, Director of University Relations, Mr. Haider Al-Mi'mar, Head of the Student Activities Department, and Mr. Yusuf Al-Moussawi, the university’s media officer. They were received by the Assistant to the University President for Administrative and Financial Affairs, Associate Professor Dr. Hassan Al-Qazzaz, the Director of the Scientific Affairs Department, Professor Dr. Ali Jaafar Al-Husseini, and the Director of the Student Activities Department, Dr. Aida Aboud Hussein, along with a large number of deans, department heads, faculty members, and administrative staff.
The activities included a cultural festival and a charity bazaar, the proceeds of which were dedicated to supporting orphans, in an atmosphere reflecting the spirit and humanitarian dimensions of the occasion. The event concluded with a lecture delivered by His Eminence Sayyid Hadi Al-Modarresi, who discussed the moral values inspired by the life of Lady Fatimah al-Zahra, emphasizing their role in building societal awareness and strengthening the mission-oriented identity of universities.
