Raytak 2… Innovation That Organizes Crowds and a Humanitarian Mission Elevating Visitor Services
Under the generous patronage of the General Secretariat of the Holy Shrine of Imam Hussein and His Excellency the Governor of Karbala, Eng. Naseef Jassim Al-Khatabi, Al-Zahra University (peace be upon her) for Women hosted the second edition of the international “Raytak” Forum under the theme “Innovation in Serving Humanity.” The forum brought together a distinguished group of religious, academic, and government figures in an intellectual event aimed at exploring strategies for improving the management of large-scale pilgrimages and enhancing the quality of services provided to visitors.
The forum highlighted methods to leverage humanitarian service during visits to Imam Hussein (peace be upon him) and the Arba’een pilgrimage, through innovative scientific and practical projects for crowd management and the development of logistical, health, and guidance services. These initiatives aim to improve operational efficiency and enhance the visitor experience, alongside discussions on field challenges and solutions based on modern scientific principles linking academic innovation with practical implementation.
In her opening speech, Prof. Dr. Zainab Al-Mulla Al-Sultani, University President, emphasized the importance of hosting international intellectual forums. Prof. Dr. Amir Al-Mousawi, Forum Director, highlighted the value of creating effective dialogue spaces to address contemporary issues, while Sheikh Ali Basheer Al-Najafi stressed the necessity of instilling ethical values and promoting social responsibility in developing service projects. The forum concluded by affirming that visitor services represent a global model of solidarity and volunteerism, requiring further study and scientific development.
