The College of Engineering and Information Technology, represented by its Dean, Prof. Dr. Ghaidaa Al-Mulla, along with its academic and administrative staff, strongly condemns the cowardly terrorist attack that targeted positions affiliated with the Popular Al- hashid Al- shabii between the areas of Akashat and Al-Qaim in Anbar Province, western Iraq. The attack resulted in the martyrdom of approximately (30) PMF members and left dozens injured, following a series of airstrikes on their areas .
This attack constitutes a blatant violation of Iraq’s sovereignty and a clear attempt to undermine the sacrifices of our security forces, who have demonstrated remarkable heroism in defending the country and preserving its security and stability. We affirm that such crimes will only strengthen the unity of the Iraqi people and their support for national security institutions.
We extend our deepest condolences and sincere sympathy to the Popular Mobilization Forces and to the families of the martyrs. We pray that Almighty God grants the martyrs His vast mercy and eternal peace, blesses the wounded with a speedy recovery, and protects Iraq and its people from all harm.
