In a distinguished academic achievement that reflects the active role of the College of Education in supporting students’ intellectual and cultural activities, the team of Al-Zahraa University (PBUH) for Women has qualified for the final round of the 9th edition of the “Intellectual Challenge” competition, hosted by the Islamic University in Najaf and sponsored by Al-Noor Humanitarian Foundation, with the participation of several Iraqi universities.
The qualification came after a strong semi-final match between Al-Zahraa University’s team and the University of Babylon, which concluded with Al-Zahraa’s victory with a score of (21–16), following an outstanding performance that demonstrated the students’ high intellectual and cognitive abilities.
This achievement is considered the result of the efforts made by the College of Education at Al-Zahraa University (PBUH) for Women, under the supervision of the Dean of the College, Professor Dr. Iman Sameer Bahiya, following her nomination by the University Presidency, and with the accompaniment of the lecturer Assistant Lecturer Hijran Nasser Sultan from the College.
The College of Education participated with three students, alongside one student from the College of Pharmacy, forming the university’s team. The participants delivered an excellent performance in answering questions that covered a variety of scientific, cultural, and humanitarian themes.
This success reflects the strong intellectual presence of Al-Zahraa University’s students and highlights the significant role of the College of Education in developing their academic and intellectual capacities and encouraging participation in national academic competitions, contributing to the preparation of a generation of capable and distinguished female students who proudly represent their university in various intellectual and academic arenas.
