Under the patronage of the President of Al-Zahraa University for Women, Prof. Dr. Zainab Al-Sultani, and the supervision of the Dean of the College of Health and Medical Technologies, Assist. Prof. Dr. Ali Al-Khafaji, the Department of Therapeutic Nutrition Technologies organized a scientific workshop titled “Role of Dandelion in Promoting Health.” The workshop was delivered by Assistant Lecturer Maimoona Abdullah Khalifa.
The session introduced the dandelion plant and highlighted its numerous health benefits, noting that it is rich in essential minerals and nutrients. It also discussed its role as a natural diuretic that helps regulate fluid balance in the body and may contribute to reducing inflammation. The workshop further emphasized the importance of incorporating dandelion into therapeutic dietary regimens due to its role in supporting overall health and enhancing bodily functions.
This workshop is part of a series of scientific activities organized by the college to promote nutritional and health awareness and to enhance scientific knowledge among students and those interested in the field of therapeutic nutrition.
