Under the patronage of the President of Al-Zahraa University for Women, Professor Dr. Zainab Al-Sultani, and under the supervision of the Dean of the College of Health and Medical Technologies, Assistant Professor Dr. Ali Al-Khafaji, the College organized an awareness workshop titled “Water Conservation within Universities,” delivered by Assistant Lecturer Maymouna Abdullah Khalifa.

The workshop aimed to raise awareness among students and staff about the importance of water conservation and reducing waste across the university campus. It highlighted water as a vital and indispensable resource, while addressing the key causes of excessive consumption within academic environments.

In addition, the session presented practical strategies to help minimize water usage in university buildings and facilities. It also emphasized the importance of promoting responsible behavior among students and encouraging the adoption of everyday practices that contribute to preserving this essential resource.

The workshop witnessed active engagement from attendees, who emphasized the importance of continuing such awareness initiatives due to their significant role in fostering a culture of sustainability and environmental responsibility within the university community.
