Under the patronage of the President of Al-Zahraa University for Women, Prof. Dr. Zainab Al-Sultani, and under the supervision of the Dean of the College of Engineering and Information Technology, Prof. Dr. Ghaida Al-Mulla, and in coordination with the Continuing Education Center, Al-Sadiqa Hall hosted the activities of an awareness seminar held as part of the “One Thousand Dinars for Giving” campaign week, which aims to support humanitarian and health initiatives serving the community, particularly children suffering from cancer.
The seminar, organized in cooperation with Warith Fund, included a lecture delivered by the Deputy Director of Warith Public Health Foundation, Dr. Ali Hamid Al Sheikh Radi, along with Hussein Riyadh Hussein, Head of the University Relations Division at the foundation, and Dr. Haider Naji, a faculty member at the college. The session highlighted the foundation’s goals in providing medical, psychological, and logistical support to sick children, as well as shedding light on the humanitarian programs and community initiatives it adopts in this field.
The seminar witnessed notable attendance from the Warith Foundation staff, in addition to the academic and administrative staff of the College of Engineering, as well as a number of female students. The atmosphere emphasized the importance of promoting community awareness of a culture of support and human solidarity, and reinforcing the role of academic institutions in adopting meaningful initiatives that address community needs and serve humanitarian causes.
