As part of its ongoing efforts to advance the academic and professional standards of its students, the Department of Clinical Nutrition at the College of Health and Medical Technologies at Al-Zahraa University for Women organized a specialized workshop titled “Professional and Official English Correspondence.” The session was delivered by Assistant Lecturer Maryam Abdulwahab Othman.
The workshop aimed to develop professional writing skills and strengthen English communication proficiency by presenting the fundamental principles of drafting formal and professional correspondence in line with recognized standards suited to academic and workplace environments. It also included practical components focusing on composing clear, well-structured messages that reflect the writer’s professionalism and enhance their professional presence.
The session witnessed strong engagement from participants, who showed considerable interest in both the theoretical and applied aspects of the workshop, given their direct impact on improving communication skills and preparing students for future career demands.
This initiative forms part of a series of training programs organized by the Department to support the development of highly capable graduates equipped to excel and make an impact across diverse academic and professional fields.
