As part of its academic and humanitarian mission to support promising talents and embrace distinguished competencies, the College of Education / Department of Special Education organized the Special Education Forum for gifted students and people of determination, in cooperation with several partner institutions, under the slogan: “Our Motto is Challenge… and Our Goal is Self-Assertion.” This initiative reflects the university’s continuous commitment to supporting exceptional talents and strengthening their presence within both the academic and humanitarian community.

 

The forum witnessed remarkable official, academic, and cultural participation, serving as a genuine platform to highlight the capabilities of gifted students and people of determination, while opening new horizons for their active participation in various scientific and creative fields. This aligns with the university’s mission of building a fair, inclusive, and supportive educational environment.

 

In her speech, the University President, Prof. Dr. Zainab Al-Mulla Al-Sultani, emphasized that caring for these groups represents an essential part of the university’s philosophy and educational mission. She noted that empowering gifted students and people of determination is a true investment in the future of society, stressing that the university remains committed to adopting initiatives that create meaningful change and open doors of success for everyone without exception.

 

For her part, the Dean of the College of Education, Prof. Dr. Iman Sameer Bahia, explained that this forum stems from the college’s belief in the importance of discovering hidden talents and refining them, as well as its commitment to providing both academic and humanitarian support for these groups. She affirmed that true success begins by giving everyone a fair opportunity to prove themselves and achieve their ambitions.

 

Meanwhile, the Director General of the Department of Youth Culture and Arts, Mr. Ali Qasim Hussein, praised the great efforts made by and the College of Education in organizing this forum. He commended the high level of organization and the humanitarian message it carries, affirming that such initiatives represent a fundamental pillar in building a more aware, inclusive, and supportive society for young and talented individuals.
