Outstanding Architectural Creativity by Second-Year Female Students in the Final Examination of the Architectural Design Course

The College of Engineering and Information Technology held the final examination for second-year female students in the Architectural Design course. The exam included the implementation of a “Children’s Cultural Forum” project in the holy city of Karbala, featuring a variety of projects that reflected an advanced level of creativity and design skills among the students.

The project requirements included preparing architectural plans for the ground floor and first floor, along with designing two main facades on the eastern and southern sides. Students were also required to produce two architectural sections to demonstrate the structural details and spatial organization of the building.

In addition, the projects included the creation of interior and exterior perspectives using one-point or two-point perspective techniques, highlighting the aesthetic and artistic aspects of the designs. The students also prepared a comprehensive site plan that illustrated the site boundaries and the design of outdoor spaces, including gardens, walkways, and pathways, within an integrated landscape vision.

The submitted designs showcased remarkable diversity in architectural ideas and treatments, as the students successfully employed design elements to create cultural and recreational environments suitable for children, combining functionality, beauty, and a modern architectural identity.
