The activities of the specialized technical training course continued, with the second day focusing on enhancing practical skills within the Linux operating system environment, in cooperation with the Arab Federation for Digital Empowerment.
The training program included an introduction to the Netcat tool and its various applications in communication, data transfer, and network operations, in addition to hands-on exercises that strengthened participants’ understanding of how the tool works and its significance in the field of cybersecurity.
The students also took part in practical training on Capture The Flag (CTF) challenges, one of the most prominent modern training methods in cybersecurity. These challenges provided them with the opportunity to apply the knowledge they had acquired, while developing their analytical, problem-solving, and real-world technical skills.
This training program comes as part of the College of Engineering and Information Technology’s commitment to preparing promising professionals equipped with advanced technical skills, enabling them to keep pace with the requirements of digital transformation and the rapid developments in systems, networks, and cybersecurity.
