Prof. Dr. Hamid Ibrahim Abood Altamimi, Head of the Department of Radiological Techniques at the College of Health and Medical Technologies, Al-Zahraa University for Women, chaired the defense committee for a Master’s thesis presented by the postgraduate student Ghufran Sattar Khazal Flayyih in the Department of Physics, College of Education for Pure Sciences – University of Babylon, on Thursday, August 27, 2026.
The thesis was titled:
"Effect of toxic gases molecules adsorption on the electronic and optical properties of BrSbSe monolayer"
The research presented an advanced investigation into the field of gas sensors, representing leading and cutting-edge research in modern materials science and two-dimensional nanomaterials.
