Under the patronage of the President of Al-Zahraa University for Women, Prof. Dr. Zainab Al-Sultani, and the supervision of the Dean of the College of Health and Medical Technologies, Assist. Prof. Dr. Ali Al-Khafaji, the Department of Therapeutic Nutrition Technologies organized a scientific workshop titled “Healthy Nutrition During Ramadan.”

The workshop was delivered by Lecturer Dr. Ghada Ali Hussein and aimed to promote students’ health awareness regarding the importance of adopting proper dietary habits during the holy month of Ramadan.

The session addressed a range of health guidelines to help fasting individuals maintain balanced nutrition throughout Ramadan. It emphasized that the holy month is not merely a period of abstaining from food, but also an opportunity to allow the body to recover from unhealthy eating habits and to reset lifestyle patterns in a way that supports overall health and vitality.

The lecturer also highlighted the importance of choosing balanced and nutrient-rich iftar meals, as they play a key role in boosting energy levels and enabling fasting individuals to perform their daily religious practices, particularly night prayers, with energy and vitality.

The workshop witnessed active engagement from students, who raised various questions and inquiries related to healthy nutrition during , contributing to a rich and informative discussion.
