Solar Energy and Maintenance: An Educational Course to Promote Clean Energy Awareness at the College of Engineering
An educational course entitled “Solar Energy Systems and Their Maintenance” has commenced at the College of Engineering and Information Technology. The five-day course is being held in cooperation with the Continuing Education Center and the Scientific Promotions Unit.
The course is being organized in implementation of the directives of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, which aim to promote a culture of clean energy and raise awareness of its applications. The lectures are delivered by Prof. Dr. Ali Jaafar Al-Husseini, a faculty member in the Department of Artificial Intelligence Engineering.
Organized by the Department of Artificial Intelligence Engineering, the course covers the components of solar energy systems, their operation and maintenance mechanisms, with a particular focus on the criteria for selecting suitable solar panels, batteries, and inverters. It also highlights the importance of purchasing high-quality components from reliable sources to ensure operational efficiency and safety.
The course aims to enhance participants’ practical knowledge and enable them to make informed decisions when purchasing and maintaining solar energy systems, thereby improving their efficiency and extending their operational lifespan.
