Coinciding with the advent of the holy month of Muharram and commemorating the martyrdom of Imam Hussein (peace be upon him), Al-Zahraa University for women, in cooperation with Youth Sponsorship Center, organized a ceremony to raise the grief flag, today, Monday, 8/7/2024, at Um Abiha Hall. The ceremony began with Holy Quran verse recital followed by a unified statement on flag change delivered by Dr. Abbas Al-Daami, representing the Holy Shrine of Imam Hussain. Mr. Ahmed Shams Al-Din, Director of Youth Sponsorship Center of the Holy Shrine of Imam Hussain made also statement ensued by Prof. Dr. Zuhair Mohamed Ali Jadoa, Assistant President of the University for Scientific Affairs who gave speech on the occasion. The Holy Shrine of Imam Hussain Choral performed a chant entitled “The Cry of Truth”. In conclusion, the representative of the Holy Shrine of Imam Hussain handed over the flag to the Assistant President of the University which was raised on top of the building of Al-Zahraa University.
