As part of its commitment to social responsibility and humanitarian work, the Department of Dormitory Affairs at Al-Zahraa University for Women organized a field visit to the shelter affiliated with the Holy Shrine of Imam Hussein. The visit aimed to connect with the children residing at the shelter and gain insight into their living and psychological conditions.
The visit was supervised by Ms. Ameera Abbas Al-Amiri, Director of Dormitory Affairs, and carried out with the participation of the department’s staff. During the visit, gifts and in-kind aid were distributed to the children as an expression of solidarity and community support. The delegation also reviewed the services provided by the shelter and identified its most pressing needs.
Ms. Al-Amiri emphasized that such initiatives align with the university’s mission to strengthen ties with community institutions and instill humanitarian values in both students and staff through hands-on activities that foster responsible social awareness.
This initiative is part of the university’s broader efforts to serve the community and promote a culture of volunteerism among students and academic staff.
