As part of efforts to expand international cooperation, faculty members from Al-Zahraa University for Women held a coordination meeting with a delegation from Iran University of Science and Technology. The visiting delegation included Prof. Dr. Reza Golshan Khavas, Director of Cultural Relations and Head of International Affairs, and Prof. Dr. Asghar Habib Nejad, Director of Education at the University.
The meeting covered a range of topics of mutual interest, including an introduction to Master’s (MS) programs, a discussion of the academic systems adopted by both universities, as well as opportunities for curriculum exchange, and avenues for research, educational, and academic collaboration.
Prof. Dr. Zuhair Mohammed Ali Jadou’, the Vice President for Scientific Affairs, along with Prof. Dr. Ghaida’ Abd Al-Hussein Al-Mulla, Dean of the College of Engineering and Information Technology, and Professor Dr. Iman Sameer Baheya, Dean of the College of Education, presented a series of proposals aimed at strengthening cooperation. These included launching joint research projects, exchanging academic expertise, providing postgraduate study opportunities, and emphasizing the importance of participation in international scientific conferences and events.
Discussions also explored opportunities for cooperation in online and virtual lectures, faculty exchange through the Visiting Professor Program, and student participation in summer training programs. Additionally, the two sides discussed hosting workshops and scientific activities, strategies for publishing research in international journals, and enhancing collaboration through specialized scientific platforms to foster continuous academic exchange.
This meeting marks a significant step in reinforcing academic and scientific ties between the two institutions and reflects a shared commitment to building effective partnerships. It opens new horizons for collaboration in higher education and scientific research, contributing to the exchange of expertise, development of research projects, and advancement of academic programs in line with global standards—ultimately supporting the universities' aspirations for excellence and scientific progress.
