Two female students from the Faculty of Engineering and Information Technology at Al-Zahraa University for Women participated in the activities of the University Pioneers Forum 2025, held at the Faculty of Law, University of Basra, with wide participation from students representing various Iraqi provinces.

The University was represented by Aya Al-Alu, a student from the Department of Artificial Intelligence Engineering, and Rusul Abdul-Rasool, a student from the Department of Architectural Engineering. Their participation came as part of the official university delegation attending the forum’s activities, accompanied by the Director of the Student Activities Department at Al-Zahraa University, Asst. Lecturer A’ida Abboud Hussein.

The forum continued for several days and was held under the auspices of His Excellency the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Naim Al-Aboudi, and under the supervision of the Student Activities Department at the Supervision and Scientific Evaluation Authority, Scout Activities Division.

The forum’s program included a variety of activities, such as scouting lectures, field trips, marine tours, in addition to a closing ceremony, all conducted in an atmosphere that reflected the spirit of cooperation and teamwork among participants. The activities were also attended by the Head of the Ministerial Committee for University Scouting, Dr. Asaad Kadhim Al-Khafaji, who presented a commemorative shield to the delegation of Al-Zahraa University in appreciation of their active participation and distinguished efforts.

This participation comes as part and parcel of the Faculty of Engineering and Information Technology’s commitment to supporting purposeful student activities, developing students’ skills, and fostering initiative, leadership, and responsibility, in line with the University’s vision of building a well-rounded academic personality both intellectually and ethically.
