College of Engineering Hosts a Training Workshop in Preparation for the International Kawthar Al-Isma Cultural Festival
Under the patronage of the President of Al-Zahraa (PBUH) University for Women, Prof. Dr. Zainab Al-Sultani, and hosted by the College of Engineering and Information Technology, the Continuing Education Center— in cooperation with the Adeebat Al-Taff Institute affiliated with the Holy Hussaini Shrine—organized a training workshop entitled:
“Festival Management Skills and VIP Reception Protocols”, in preparation for the Fourth International Kawthar Al-Isma Cultural Festival, organized by the Holy Hussaini Shrine under the direction of its Legal Custodian, His Eminence Sheikh Abdul Mahdi Al-Karbalaei (may his honor be preserved).
The workshop was attended by Prof. Dr. Zuhair Mohammed Ali Jadou’, Assistant for Scientific Affairs to the University President; Prof. Dr. Ghaida Al-Mulla, Dean of the College of Engineering and Information Technology; Associate Professor Dr. Maali Hashem Abu Al-Maali, Director of the Continuing Education Center; and Assistant Lecturer Manal Abdul Amir, Head of the Women’s Affairs Unit. It was also attended by department heads, academic staff, university employees concerned with protocol and public relations, as well as female students interested in this field.
The workshop was delivered by the Institute Director, Ms. Alaa Taher Abdul Hussein, with the participation of international trainer Mr. Adnan Jarakh. It included both theoretical and practical components, focusing on developing public relations skills, managing on-ground and digital communication, handling impactful situations, and ensuring the delivery of a safe and well-organized festival experience.
The training also addressed key aspects of the role of public relations teams in festivals and enabled participants to develop a practical management plan that enhances the festival’s image and ensures smooth and professional execution of all activities.
At the conclusion of the workshop, certificates of appreciation were awarded to the trainers in recognition of their efforts.
