Under the patronage of the President of Al-Zahraa University for Women (peace be upon her), Prof. Dr. Zainab Al-Sultani, and under the supervision of the Dean of the College of Engineering and Information Technology, Prof. Dr. Ghaidaa Al-Mulla, and in collaboration with the Continuing Education Center, Lecturer Dr. Owaad Kazem Abdul Hassan delivered a scientific workshop titled “Fundamentals of Electrical Circuits,” targeting the college’s female students to strengthen core concepts in this vital field.
The workshop covered the definition of an electrical circuit, current, and voltage, and explained methods for calculating current and voltage based on fundamental laws. It also presented types of circuit connections, such as series and parallel configurations, supported by simplified practical examples to enhance students’ applied understanding.
This activity comes as part of a series of scientific initiatives implemented by the college to support the practical aspect of students’ learning and to develop their engineering skills in alignment with labor market requirements and the university’s vision of preparing competent and distinguished graduates.
