Under the patronage of the President of Al-Zahraa University (PBUH) for Women, Prof. Dr. Zainab Al-Sultani, and the supervision of the Dean of the College of Education, Prof. Dr. Iman Sameer Bahiya, and in cooperation with the Continuing Education Department, the Department of English organized a scientific workshop entitled “The Philosophy of English Literature,” delivered by Assistant Lecturer Karrar Haider Kadhim.
The workshop addressed the major intellectual and philosophical foundations upon which English literature is built, highlighting the influence of various philosophical perspectives on the formation and development of literary texts across different historical periods. It also reviewed key literary and critical schools associated with English literature.
The workshop witnessed remarkable attendance and engagement from students, who actively participated through questions and discussions that enriched the session. They emphasized the importance of such scientific workshops in enhancing literary and intellectual awareness and in developing the cognitive skills of the college’s students.
