Participation in the Raising of Imam Hussein’s (PBUH) Banner Ceremony… College of Engineering Renews Its Presence in the Journey of Husseini Awareness

The College of Engineering and Information Technology, represented by its Dean, Prof. Dr. Ghaidaa Al-Mulla, and attended by a number of academic and administrative staff members, participated in the intellectual and cultural program marking the raising of Imam Hussein’s (PBUH) banner in Iraqi universities. The event was organized by the Department of Youth Development and Social Rehabilitation of the General Secretariat of the Holy Hussaini Shrine, in cooperation with Al-Zahraa University for Women, and attended by religious, academic, and cultural figures.

The ceremony featured speeches highlighting the importance of drawing inspiration from Imam Hussein’s approach in building awareness and promoting authentic human values. Mr. Nabil Al-Hasani, President of the Nahj Al-Balagha Sciences Foundation, addressed the intellectual and educational dimensions of Imam Hussein’s (PBUH) revolution and its role in establishing the principles of truth, justice, and reform. He emphasized the responsibility of universities in conveying this intellectual legacy to younger generations and strengthening its presence within the academic environment.

For her part, the President of Al-Zahraa University for Women, Prof. Dr. Zainab Al-Sultani, stressed the importance of embracing the Husseini approach within university life and enhancing the educational and cultural role of academic institutions in preparing generations equipped with awareness and knowledge, grounded in a solid system of values capable of addressing contemporary challenges.

The participation of the College of Engineering and Information Technology in this program reflects its commitment to engaging with intellectual and cultural initiatives that contribute to strengthening identity and human values inspired by the School of Imam Hussein (PBUH), while reinforcing its presence in activities that combine academic mission with intellectual and cultural enrichment.
