English Language Department/Education Faculty/ Al-Zahraa University for Women held a scientific Workshop cooperation with the Continuous Education Centre, entitled “Linguistic Etiquette Academic contexts” presented by Asst. Lect. Rasha Ali Abd Al-Abbas upon Al-Kuther Hall in the Continuous Education Centre. The workshop was attended by the Head of the department, faculty members, and the female students from the department, the workshop included: identifying the etiquette and its origins, etiquette in the Holy Quran, Prophet Muhammad (may God bless him and grant him peace) as a role model, elements and principles of linguistic etiquette, understanding the difference between behavioral rules and general laws and between manners and ethics, and rules for breaching etiquette, and how to avoid it by knowing rights, duties, and limitations based on age, social status, occupation, and academic qualifications, along with providing examples from the reality of university life.
