The Department of Special Education organized an educational and scientific workshop entitled “A Journey with Myself to Discover My Strengths”, presented by Lecturer Ms. Zahraa Khudair Abbas.
The workshop addressed the strengths that individuals should work on developing in order to practice them in daily life, emphasizing the importance of recognizing these strengths as a means to achieve psychological stability. It also highlighted the necessity of identifying personal weaknesses in order to transform them into strengths.
Participants further explored the most prominent weaknesses that individuals need to address, adjust, and enhance so they may become sources of strength. The workshop clarified the best methods to follow in identifying both strengths and weaknesses within one’s personality.
At the conclusion of the workshop, a video was presented illustrating the concept of true identity as a means of affirming one’s individuality. The event was attended by a number of faculty members and students from the Department of Special Education.

Department of Special Education Holds Scientific Workshop on Modern Strategies for Addressing Speech Disorders Under the patronage of the President of Al-Zahraa University (PBUH) for Women, Prof. Dr. Zainab Al-Sultani, and the supervision of the Dean of the College of Education, Prof. Dr. Iman Samir Bahiyya, the Department of Special Education at the College of Education, in cooperation with the Continuing Education Center, organized a scientific workshop entitled “Modern Strategies for Dealing with Speech Disorders.” The workshop was attended by a number of faculty members and specialists in the field. The workshop was delivered by Dr. Ya‘mur Rahim Hussein, General Supervisor of Al-Kafeel Institute for Speech and Language Disorders, which is affiliated with the Al-Abbas Holy Shrine. The lecture addressed the latest scientific and practical approaches to diagnosing speech and language disorders and methods of dealing with them, along with presenting training models and therapeutic mechanisms that contribute to developing the skills of specialists and practitioners in this area. The workshop aimed to enhance scientific awareness of speech disorders and to equip educational staff with modern strategies that support students and improve their ability to communicate effectively. It also sought to strengthen cooperation between academic institutions and specialized centers in ways that serve the educational and rehabilitative process.
