Under the patronage of the President of Al-Zahraa University for Girls, Prof. Dr. Zainab Al-Mulla Al-Sultani, and supervision of the Dean of the College of Education, Prof. Dr. Iman Samir Bahia, the University Psychological Counseling Division, in collaboration with the College of Education, organized an awareness guidance session entitled “The Psychological Harms of Addiction” for first-year students of the Arabic Language Department, as part of the division’s regular activities.

The session, conducted by the division’s head, Ms. Nisreen Ali Al-Jilawi, covered several key topics, including mental health concepts, the effects of addiction on physical, mental, psychological, and social well-being, and the role of guidance teachers within educational institutions in raising awareness, prevention, and fostering student understanding.

The session was highly interactive, featuring discussions and dialogues among the students, reflecting their interest and commitment to benefiting from the program’s content. The event also emphasized the importance of continuing such awareness activities to support the university environment and promote students’ psychological health.
