Under the generous auspicious of the General Secretariat of the Holy Shrine of Imam Al-Hussain and the direct supervision of Prof. Dr. Zainab Al-Mulla Al-Sultani, President of Al-Zahraa University for Women, the University hosted the annual meeting of the Deans of Pharmacy Colleges in Iraq.
The event brought together a distinguished group of academic figures in a scientific forum that embodied the spirit of national collaboration and academic excellence, including:
Prof. Dr. Munther Faisal Al-Amery, Chair of the Committee of Pharmacy Deans in Iraq and Dean of the College of Pharmacy at Al-Mustansiriyah University.

Prof. Dr. Shaimaa Nizar, Chair of the National Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Colleges in Iraq.
In his welcoming address, Prof. Dr. Zuhair Mohammed Ali Jaddou, Assistant to the University President for Scientific Affairs, emphasized that “knowledge is the most powerful tool in supporting the profession and serving humanity.” He also highlighted the University’s pivotal role in hosting this annual gathering, which reflects its academic standing and organizational excellence.
Meanwhile, Prof. Dr. Noor Hatif Al-Dabbagh, Dean of the College of Pharmacy, expressed her gratitude and appreciation for the collective efforts made, stating that “achieving this distinction for two consecutive years is a source of pride for the University and a testament to its commitment to producing academically sound outcomes.”
Prof. Dr. Munther Faisal Al-Amery extended his congratulations to the University, praising its remarkable progress and affirming that this achievement reflects Al-Zahraa University’s continuous advancement and dedication to preparing highly qualified scientific cadres who contribute to the development of the profession and society.
At the conclusion of the meeting, the College of Pharmacy at Al-Zahraa University for Women received a Certificate of Academic Excellence, after ranking first place for the second consecutive year in the national assessment examinations — an accomplishment described by attendees as a manifestation of academic rigor and a result of deliberate institutional efforts to prepare graduates aligned with the demands of the labor market.
The University of Al-Ma’aqal ranked second, followed by Al-Zahrawi University in third place — reflecting the growing academic advancement among Iraq’s pharmacy colleges and emphasizing that fair academic competition remains the best path toward professional excellence and community service.
This annual meeting underscored the importance of scientific and academic collaboration among Iraqi universities and reaffirmed Al-Zahraa University for Women’s vital role in hosting national and scholarly events, in harmony with the vision of the Holy Shrines to advance higher education and serve society.
