In collaboration with the Department of Continuing Education Center, the Arabic Language Department organized a training course titled “Facilitating the Science of Prosody” for its female students.
The course was delivered by Professor Dr. Hamid Yaqub Naeema in Al-Kawthar Hall and other department classrooms over the span of three weeks.
The course aimed to simplify the process of learning Arabic prosody through both written and auditory methods, given its importance in preserving the integrity of poetry. Prosody is the foundation of poetic rhythm and requires consistent practice and training.
