Al-Zahraa University continues to organise its distinguished activities as part and parcel of the First Fatimid Cultural Week for the universities of Holy Karbala, in commemoration of the birth anniversary of Lady Fatimah Al-Zahra’ (peace be upon her). The week featured a cultural festival and a charitable market, with proceeds allocated to supporting orphans and individuals in need, reflecting the University’s commitment to social responsibility alongside its cultural role.
The said events were attended by a delegation from Ahl Al-Bayt University, headed by Prof. Dr. Hamid Al-Najdi, the University President, accompanied by a slew of university officials and faculty members. The delegation was received by Asst. Prof. Dr. Hassan Al-Qazzaz, the Vice President of Al-Zahraa University for Administrative and Financial Affairs; Prof. Dr. Ali Al-Husseini, the Director of the Scientific Affairs Department; and Lect. Dr. Aa’da Aboud Hussein, the Director of the Student Activities Department, along with a group of academic and administrative staff.
The delegation from Ahl al-Bayt University expressed its appreciation for the efforts exerted in organising the events, commending the high level of planning and organisation, as well as the distinguished initiatives aimed at integrating cultural activities with humanitarian and social causes. The delegation emphasised that inter-university collaboration serves as a motivating factor for the development of academic programmes and student activities alike.
The activities concluded with a valuable lecture delivered by His Eminence Sayyid Hadi Al-Mudarrisi, in which he addressed the profound ethical values derived from the life of Lady Fatimah al-Zahra’ (PBUH) and her role in consolidating the principles of Ahl al-Bayt (PBUT) within society. He further highlighted the educational and religious dimensions that universities can promote through cultural and educational activities.
It is worth mentioning that the University Presidency affirmed that the organisation of this cultural week forms part of the University’s strategy to strengthen academic and cultural collaboration among local universities, create a dynamic space for the exchange of expertise, and implement cultural initiatives that contribute to instilling noble values among female students, reflecting the University’s leading role in serving the community.
