The College of Education at Al-Zahraa University (peace be upon her) for Women received an official delegation from the College of Education for Women at the University of Kufa as part of an academic visit aimed at opening new horizons for joint scientific cooperation and exchanging academic and educational expertise, in a manner that contributes to enhancing the quality of teaching and research performance at both institutions.

The visiting delegation was headed by the Dean of the College of Education for Women at the University of Kufa, Prof. Dr. Sahar Al-Hassani, accompanied by the Scientific Assistant Dean, Prof. Dr. Ahmed Al-Khafaji, along with a number of heads of academic departments. They were received by the Dean of the College of Education at Al-Zahraa University for Women, Prof. Dr. Iman Samir Bahiyah, in addition to the Scientific Assistant Dean, Assist. Prof. Dr. Nihad Al-Rubaie, and several department heads and faculty members.

The visit included a field tour of the College of Education and the Central Library, during which the delegation reviewed the modern lecture halls and well-equipped scientific laboratories featuring advanced technologies, as well as the research resources and up-to-date scientific encyclopedias available to support academic research. The visiting delegation expressed their keen interest in benefiting from these experiences and strengthening frameworks of joint cooperation in a way that serves the educational objectives of both universities.

The two sides also held an official meeting during which a memorandum of understanding was signed. Discussions focused on enhancing cooperation in scientific research, developing academic curricula, and coordinating efforts to organize joint conferences and workshops in line with quality standards. The memorandum stipulates mechanisms for activating sustained academic collaboration, exchanging expertise, and developing joint research projects, thereby strengthening institutional ties and improving the outcomes of higher education.

This visit represents a strategic step that reflects both universities’ commitment to consolidating academic and scientific cooperation, exchanging expertise and practical experiences, and advancing the educational and research process. It also reinforces the standing of Al-Zahraa and Kufa Universities as leading higher education institutions in Iraq, in a manner that serves the goals of higher education, meets students’ needs, and supports the aspirations of the wider community.
