The Soroban Harvest A special training course for female students of the College of Education was organized under the title “ The soroban Harvest”,for the purpose of distinguishing the female students of Al-Zahra University (peace be upon her) from their peers in the faculties of education in private and public universities, the university hosted the international trainer and a member of the Iraqi Trainers Syndicate (Dr. Saddam Abdul-Hussein Al-Aqili) to provide a specialized training course that prepares the students for mental arithmetic globally. The course was named Soroban Harvest and was organized by the Department of Mathematics. The course lasted for a week and was hosted in the premises of the central building of the university, where the top ten students from each study stage were selected to participate in it. At the end of it, an international certificate and an approved identity as an international coach in mental arithmetic were presented to all participants.
