Prof. Dr. Zainab Al-Mullah Al-Sultani, President of Al-Zahraa University for Women, accompanied by the University Senior Staff, met Eng. Nassif Jassim Al-Khattabi, Governor of Karbala city. This meeting aims to explore mechanisms for supporting higher education, the progress of scientific researchers, and to apply them to relief efforts throughout reconstruction and development projects overseen by the Governorate. This meeting comes in line with enhancing cooperation between Academic and Governmental institutions.
The meeting covered ways and means of cooperation between the University and the Karbala Government, especially in academic environment support aspects, providing the necessary facilities for female students and researchers, encouraging scientific projects that contribute to serving the community, and promoting sustainable development.
Al-Sultani highlighted that Al-Zahraa University for Women seeks to be an effective scientific beacon at the local and regional levels, through the development of its academic programs and the encouragement of scientific research that addresses community issues. They also pointed out the importance of supporting the Governorate for the educational and research initiatives adopted by the University.
Al-Khattabi expressed his full support for the University’s efforts, and shed light on the distinguished educational services it provides that contribute to the development of an educated and aware generation. He further emphasized the significance of integration between the local Government and academic institutions to create an encouraging environment for creativity and innovation.
This meeting comes in the framework of the University’s vision to enhance partnerships that support its scientific and research journey to serve the country and to provide spaces for practical training for female students in Government institutions, in addition to exploring the establishment of joint projects between the University and the relevant authorities in the Governorate.
