The College of Education / Department of Arabic Language at Al-Zahra University (peace be upon her) for women, in cooperation with the Department of Continuing Education, held a scientific workshop entitled: (Common Linguistic Errors and Correcting them in Administrative Correspondence).It was presented by the teacher Asst Dr. Naba Saeed Abed, at Al-Kawthar Hall of Continuing Education, where the workshop was attended by the teaching staff associated with the Department of Arabic Language and the administrative staff at the university. The workshop aims to define linguistic errors, which are violations of the rules imposed by the Arabic language on its speakers, and to classify linguistic errors as: semantic errors, grammatical errors, spelling errors, punctuation errors, and formal errors. The features and components of administrative discourse were addressed, as well as practical applications for common mistakes in administrative communications were discussed. It is worth mentioning that the Department of Arabic Language at Al-Zahra University (peace be upon her) for women through its constant efforts by organizing workshops and courses seeks to enhance the skills of the administrative staff and develop their professional level.
