Under the auspicious of the President of Al-Zahraa University for Women, and the supervision of the Dean of the College of Education, the Department of English held a scientific workshop entitled “Should Teachers Use Translation When Teaching Vocabulary?”
The workshop was presented by Dr. Mais Hassan Fleiḥ, a faculty member at the College of Basic Education / University of Babylon. Dr. Fleiḥ discussed the challenges that teachers face in teaching certain vocabulary items to students, and highlighted the significance of translation as a pedagogical tool.
The workshop was attended by the Dean of the College of Education, along with a group of professors and students from the Department of English.
