Under the aegis of Prof. Dr. Zainab Al-Sultani, President of Al-Zahraa University for Women, a workshop titled “Pros and Cons of Using Social Media during Study” was organized by Health and Medical Technologies Faculty in cooperation with Rehabilitation and Employment Division along with Continuous Education Centre. Moreover, Lect. Dr. Nadia Naif Hussein who presented the workshop managed to shed light on such advantages of social media for students as providing access to opportunities that enhance both academic and intellectual growth, improving competitiveness, as well as fostering connections and collaborations within the student community. Conversely, numerous disadvantages, including those which could threaten the well-being and future of youth or bring about psychological disorders, as well as a decline in cognitive abilities were also underscored by the presenter.
