A delegation from Al-Zahraa University for Women, headed by Prof. Dr. Zainab Al-Mulla Al-Sultani and accompanied by senior staff, visited the University of Al-Hamdaniya in Mosul. Additionally, the delegation was received by Prof. Dr. Nasha’at Mubarak Sliwa, President of the University, along with several academic and administrative staff members. The said event aligns with the vision of Al-Zahraa University’s to enhance academic collaboration and exchange scientific expertise among institutions of higher education.
During the meeting, Dr. Sliwa gave a concise overview of the University’s development journey since its establishment, outlining the stages of advancement it has undergone. He further highlighted the efforts invested in developing the University’s infrastructure and essential facilities, as well as the tangible progress achieved in education and scientific research owing to the competence of its academic and administrative staff.
For her part, Dr. Al-Sultani expressed her appreciation for the notable architectural and academic development witnessed at the University of Al-Hamdaniya. Furthermore, she commended the level of administrative organisation and the integrated academic environment observed during the visit, noting their contribution to supporting the educational process and providing an environment conducive to both faculty members and students.
The visit included the signing of a joint scientific cooperation memorandum between the two universities. It bears noting that the agreement comprises provisions for collaboration in scientific research, the exchange of academic expertise, and the organisation of joint seminars, conferences, and workshops, in addition to developing academic programmes and capacity-building initiatives, all aimed at advancing higher education and serving the community.
This visit comes as part and parcel of Al-Zahraa University’s strategic plan to strengthen scientific and academic collaboration with reputable Iraqi universities. In addition, it aligns with the University’s vision to build robust partnerships that foster the exchange of expertise and the development of research and educational capacities across academic institutions, while also supporting national efforts to enhance the educational process and achieve sustainable development within society.
