Al-Zahraa University in the Application of Bologna process
In compliance with the directives of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research that seek to improve the reality of higher education and keep pace with global developments in education as well as to promote the quality of the educational process in Iraq, Al-Zahraa University for women received a letter of thanks and appreciation from His Excellency Dr. Naim Al-Aboudi, Minister of Higher Education, for applying the Bologna process which is considered as one of the most significant pathways to raise educational standards. The full application of Bologna process leads to higher achievement levels by any university that seeks to provide its own country with distinguished scientific and educational graduates in various scientific disciplines Its application currently takes place in dozens of developed and developing countries in the field of education and job creation for young people so as to empower them to foster various national sectors. Here are excerpts from the appreciation letter by His Excellency: Esteeming the level of performance in the application of Bologna Process in several disciplines and in support of keeping pace with the global educational context, we extend our thanks and appreciation to the technical universities and their formations, academic universities, colleges, departments and branches covered by this process that seeks to ameliorate the quality of the educational process and university context. We express our confidence in the efficiency of these institutions, which have extended intensive endeavors and interaction towards the success of the policy of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research and the establishment of its mission and to further university goals. It is noteworthy that Bologna Process is the fruition of intergovernmental cooperation among 48 European countries in the field of higher education through joint venture by governmental bodies, universities, teachers and students, as well as associations, stakeholders, employers, quality assurance agencies and international organizations and institutions, including the European Commission, that seek to ameliorate and sustain higher education.
