Preliminary Rounds of “Nation That Reads” Competition Launched at Al-Zahraa University
. The preliminary rounds of the “A Nation That Reads” competition have officially begun at Al-Zahraa University for Women, under the patronage of Imam Hussein Holy Shrine and in cooperation with the Ministries of Higher Education and Scientific Research, and Education. The competition will extend over several days, to select three female students to represent the University in the final stage, which will be hosted by Karbala University. The said event was conducted under the direct supervision of Prof. Dr. Zainab Al-Mulla Al-Sultani, University President, who paid tribute to participating female students for their vital role in promoting a culture of reading and lifelong learning. Additionally, Prof. Dr. Zuhair Mohammed Jidou’, President University Assistant for Scientific Affairs, also encouraged female students to pursue excellence and creativity, affirming the University’s commitment to initiatives that enhance female students’ visibility on a national scale. The rounds witnessed enthusiastic participation from female students across all faculties, fostering an academic and competitive environment that highlights a high level of cultural awareness and a strong commitment to reading as a foundation of intellectual growth. These preliminary rounds signify the University’s preparation for the final stage of the competition, which is part of a larger initiative aimed at cultivating a reading culture within academic communities.
