The Women’s Affairs Division in collaboration with the Faculty of Education / Department of Special Education, organised a scientific workshop titled “Developing Emotional Intelligence to Cope with Life Pressures,” delivered by Asst. Lect. Zahra’ Mowaffaq Rasool. The said event was under the auspices of Prof. Dr. Zainab Al-Mulla Al-Sultani, the University President, and the supervision of Prof. Dr. Iman Samir Bahiya, the Dean of the Faculty of Education.
The workshop addressed the importance of emotional intelligence in an individual’s daily life and its role in confronting psychological and social pressures, in addition to outlining strategies for developing emotional skills that enable individuals to manage challenging situations in a healthy and balanced manner.
The workshop also highlighted the role of the Faculty of Education in designing specialised academic and training programmes aimed at fostering emotional intelligence among female students and academic staff, strengthening their ability to cope with pressure, regulate emotions, and engage positively with others. It is worth mentioning that these efforts contribute to building well-balanced personalities and creating a supportive and stable educational environment within the University.
