As part of its ongoing commitment to academic excellence and effective teaching practices, the Department of Special Education at the Faculty of Education, in cooperation with the Rehabilitation, Employment and Follow–up Division, hosted a workshop titled “The Good Assessment” on Wednesday, April 30, 2025.

The session was presented by Prof. Dr. Qahtan Fadhel, an expert in special education, and was attended by a group of dedicated faculty members and enthusiastic female students.

Throughout the workshop, the lecturer explored essential aspects of building effective assessments, focusing on the qualities of a well-designed test, clear and fair question formulation, and common challenges faced in the process of exam creation. The aim was to equip participants with practical tools to ensure fairness, precision, and integrity in educational evaluations.

The event sparked engaging discussions and thoughtful exchanges, as participants shared their own experiences and reflected on ways to improve testing methods in the classroom.

In appreciation of his valuable insights, the Faculty of Education expressed sincere gratitude to prof. Dr. Qahtan Fadhel. The workshop reflected the Faculty’s dedication to supporting its teaching staff and nurturing a thoughtful, student-centered learning environment.
